The Bakersfield Jazz Festival has become a wonderful two-day celebration for the
community that has been called Bakersfield’s "Rite of Spring." With the support of
students, faculty, administration and ardent jazz fans in the community, the jazz
program at CSUB has grown and flourished. It has been a real pleasure to bring the
Jazz Coffeehouse series, our Jazz Jam concerts and Jazz Ensemble concerts to such
enthusiastic audiences.
Home show attendees love their Home shows -- and it shows!! Our attendance has grown
dramatically over the years as people have come to trust the home show as a reliable
place to meet the people who will help improve their homes.
The Kern County Fair is an enterprise providing a year-round, safe and friendly environment
for educational, cultural and entertainment experiences that celebrate the accomplishments
of our entire community. We are fiscally responsible as we maintain and expand our
facilities and produce events to fulfill the needs of our patrons, business partners,
sponsors and exhibitors. This we do with pride and integrity.
Since 1892, the Sierra Club has been working to protect communities, wild places,
and the planet itself. Our outings leaders are Sierra Club volunteers, and the range
of outings is as diverse as their interests.

Club. With the top bands in town and two different kinds of brews at each sponsored
booth, your guaranteed to have a great time! The Festival of Beers donates between
$60,000 and $80,000 each year to various children’s charities in Kern County. A must
